Closer Look

Starting off with our usual closer look, the product features the same minimalistic approach that we have grown to love about the Arctis 3 & 5. It looks sleek and doesn’t look out of place in an art museum.

Utilising the same design methodology that has made SteelSeries an awesome headset creator there isn’t very much to talk about, it is just easier to say what awesome products they make!

Build Quality

From a build quality point of view, SteelSeries has created so many products that are super reliable. I think this is down to the interesting design of the ski band which rests on your head. With most generic headphones this is usually a rigid piece of material which can be easily broken.

Interestingly with the Arctis 7 they actually employ steel alloy in certain places, and with the retractable microphone you are less likely to cause any damage whilst moving your headphones around.  The ear cups are also designed using special breathable fabric, so from a hygiene point of view they’ll last a long time.

Sound Quality

Delivering pin point sound is one of the deciding factors when it comes to a pair of gaming headphones. We want to be able to hear the footsteps through walls.

These headphones were designed using the best materials possible. Driven by S1 audio drivers they provide a huge dynamic range with crystal clear sound.

And with these particular headphones? You have the option for 7.1 surround sound. Perfect for getting immersed in your favourite titles.

Being of a lightweight design these were built to be comfortable for long periods of time. I actually love the design of all of the SteelSeries headphones simply because they are among the comfiest on the market. They design them for people who are wanting to spend hours on the computer, smashing levels and getting frags.

These headphones aren’t the cheapest on the market, but you are buying one of the highest quality headsets on the market. It features a no-thrills design and an incredible array of features.

Reading this quick review you’ll notice how much respect we give SteelSeries for creating their products. They are simply impeccable and you can’t really go wrong purchasing a pair of headphones from them. This particular pair of headphones feels more premium than the price tag really lets on, and it has such a fantastic range of features what isn’t to like?
